GYLIOJI was born from my fascination with rhythm, geometry and the ornament found in traditional Lithuanian woven textiles.

Through ceramics, I reinterpret these historic patterns, exploring how cultural heritage can find a meaningful place in contemporary interiors while preserving its identity. Rather than reproducing traditional motifs, I translate their visual language into a contemporary ceramic form.

Each work begins with research. I study historical woven ornaments, analysing their rhythm, geometry, and composition before transforming them into contemporary ceramic artworks. Every design is carefully developed to create a balance between ornament, colour, and form.

My work explores how traditional ornament can exist naturally within contemporary spaces, creating a dialogue between heritage and modern design.

I hope each piece invites people to slow down, notice new details over time, and experience Lithuanian cultural heritage in a contemporary way.
